Crocodile River Camp has three chalets imaginatively constructed of thatch and natural materialsdelightfully simple, perfectly comfortable. It rests beneath a grove of magnificent ebony trees, overlooking a dambo and the action of a day in the wild.
Crocodile River Camp is part of Chikoko Walking Trails that operates slightly upstream (8 km) of its sister camp, Tafika Camp on the West bank of the Luangwa and can also be combined with its second sister camp Chikoko Tree Camp. Chikoko Walking Trails in the
South Luangwa National Park
are conducted in a very beautiful area, rich in wildlife. It is a wilderness area, free of roads and vehicles. David Livingstone crossed the Luangwa River in 1866 at Perekani, the crossing point used for Chikoko Trails today.
