Lusenga Plain National Park - Zambia Safari Travel in Africa
Lusenga Plain National Park, situated in the Kawambwa District, Northern Zambia, is a small park covering an area of 880 square kilometers. The park was declared a national park in 1972. The grassland of the open plain is a type widely found in the northern province dambos. Around the edge of Lusenga National Park, there are remnants of swamp forests and dry evergreen marguesia forest. The remainder of the Lusenga Plain National Park is covered by dense miombo woodland. Wildlife numbers may be limited and no official population studies have been published recently.
